Knowing Does Not Help

...The search for the Dobb...

What did I say in my last post about Peep Show? That it's all gonna end badly. I know it would end badly. I kind of see it coming... with all the hints from Mitchell and Webb interviews that Mark and Jez cannot possibly be living together forever. But when it actually came, I was just sitting there.. dumbstuck.

Did I also say before that I would be heart-broken??

I sure was.. and is... I said I kidda see it coming, but this was not quite how I though it would happen. Not with my Jez being all fucked up and Mark getting Happily Ever After. Things were going all too well for Mark that I felt quite annoyed already... and then the last two episodes (Christmas and New Year ones) were mostly about Jez being all too nice and Mark behaving like a dick in return. OK, to be fair, I am not sure I would much prefer it to be the other way around; but I surely like it more the other way around. Not only because I am in Jez' camp but also because destroying Jez world is like smashing and stomping someone's hope and dreams. Mark doesn't really have any.. at least not a totally beautifully innocent one like Jez. As I said before, I am a bit more like Mark... so I know his dream is not going to be as bright and sunny.. and stomping over it a bit is not really too sad for someone like Mark... he surely would expect it. But to do that on Jez is such a dispicable crime....

I always insist that Jez is actually pretty nice and he really loves Mark. There are actually numerous occasions throughout the years proving the point. Mark on the other hand is not quite so. I am sure he also does love Jez - to quote Jez - 'in a weird, unfriendly kind of way'. But Mark is too pessimisstic, too cold hearted to actually be dependent so heavily on anyone. As mentioned several times by the two actors, Mark can live without Jez but Jez would probably die of starvation. ... personally, I just think Jez and Mark see each other like family.. only difference is that Jez really needs a family and Mark not quite so.

It is heart-breaking to see Jez, realizing what Mark wanted, lying to Mark so Mark would leave him to start a new life with Dobby. Like someone said on twitter... at the end, it's sad because we know Jez actually really cares. The picture of Jez being grown up and unselfish is so unnerving and beautifully heart wrenching for me. Seriously, I felt like watching an adorable puppy watching faithfully as his owner walked away... and Gosh.. didn't I already say how sad Webb looks when he's slightly teary? At the end, at that fence Jez helped Mark dig a hole to Dobby, Webb looked very sad... my Jez looked really sad.. and it left me heart-broken.

Peep Show and Tell

Somehow, Robert and David look like a very well-to-do version of Jez and Mark
but then again... they play Jez and Mark- the roles written for them

It does take me awhile to be able to write about it. I am not even sure I can watch the last episode again properly anytime soon. I like to have something as anchors in life... something that won't change... something I can always rely on... I used to believe that no matter how lives screw up for either Mark and Jez, they would always have each other... they would stick together... and I took some comfort in that. Now that life is great for Mark but the El Dude brothers are apart, I am not actually think it's a happy ending at all.

Peep Seven

... Peep Seven ...
the season with the surprisingly eye-catching looking Mark
and the constantly, lovingly, innocently adorable Jez

Peep 7 has arrived. In fact, it has arrived for 3 weeks already... I just didn't get a chance to write about Mark and Jez and their unbelievably, frighteningly, uncharacteristicly good fortune all around. Yep, that's right. Peep Seven so far is going very very well with Mark and Jez.

I guess some people may have a problem when everything turns out so well for both Mark and Jez. They are still as they have been - even quite more evil than I can remember. Mark gets so evil, manipulative and very selfish - and seems to get away quite unscratch with it. Jez is still delutional, self-center and complete liar - like usual. Oh mine... and how I love both of them! They are just soooo adorableeee....

OK, I know the above paragraph doesn't sound very logical. It is a bit difficult to explain why these two horribly behaving characters are just so lovable. They are so weird, so extreme and occasionally so evil.... but you can't help feeling you want to be on their side. Me, particularly, - on Jez side. LoL I guess I will go on and on and on in other times why I love these two so much. Right now, I just wanna note how wonderful it is that everything is going right in the world of Mark -- I would say not quite going that well for Jez, but I cannot complain, it can be so much worse.

On an added note. Mark is soooo adorable with his baby boy. Somehow the idea of David Mitchell being a father is really strangely adorable. Mark holding his baby smiling with his big dark, slightly teary eyes is totally utterly beautiful. Soooo adorable. And this is coming from someone who is definitely, totally would choose Jez - the lazy, sex-obsessed, self-obsessed, man-child - over Mark anytime (including even in that adorable baby moment!)

I want to post Mark and his baby from ep.1 here, but cann't..
Likely have to wait till the DVD arrives

Anyway, somehow, I am feeling like I have been waiting for a time-bomb. After these so many seasons of Peep Show, I cannot rest assured that things will go well. It is definitely, certatainly, most-assuredly, going to blow in Mark's face.

And for Jez, we all know (and secretly hope) that he is going to get heart-broken, again. Oh.. my dear sweet Jez...

Wish they were a gay couple... like Mark said in season 5
.. can you imagine how hillarious these two dysfunctional dads would be? ...

The Arrival of Peep Show and TMWL DVDs

Eventually, they are HERE!! Woohoo!!!

With less than one week, my shipment of Peep Show Series 1-6 Boxset and all four of That Mitchell and Webb Look DVDs have arrived safely at my doorstep. In two lovely and securely packed amazon.co.uk boxes. Mine mine... this is probably as fast as, if not faster than, my usual amazon.com shipments. Lovely!

I am particularly excited about Peep Show dvds. A bit surprising on that since I am definitely a fan of Mitchell and Webb Look. So, shouldn't I be more excited about TMWL dvds? Maybe... maybe.. probably, I really wanna see Peep Show now and I don't think watching it from youtube is such a great idea. Lately, I have learned that youtube is a fantastic source of stuffs you otherwise cannot find anywhere. But it's horrible for anything available on your screen which you wanna concentrate on either the story or the acting. I kidda learn this from the last Doctor Who. OMG.. how fantastically better DW looked on television when I get to watch it properly?! And since i got hiped up so much with Peep Show (I keep thinking "it's supposed to be as fantastic as The Office.. finally a sitcom I would have a fantastic time watching in a really really long time..). What a joy I have in stock now... 6 series... 36 episodes ... 18 hours. Mmmm... come to think of it. That's not really a lot at all. Damm it.

Anyway, The Mitchell and Webb Look is also here. Series 4 in particular. coz strangely I have seen most of the first 3 series on youtube. (darn it...) So I am really seriously looking forward to watching the most recent (and hopefully not the last) series in comfort of my own home and own television. There are infact a lot of sketches I am looking forward to seeing on telly VERY MUCH. This series is also a lot nicer visually (judging from what a few clips I have seen on youtube -- already tried to limit my exposure to S4). So it should be a real treat to see. I even rearrage my big piles of papers, books and rubbish to make the area in front of my TV nice and clear, nothing obstructing my view. or annoyed me from the corner of my eyes. But then, I cannot imagine how much more excited I would be, even, if I had a nice big screen TV in an empty room. So it's just me and what I am watching... (and probably food and nice cold beer. Wowww) .. OK, I am sounding very creepy now. I guess I really am. Hmmm...

Peep Show dudes: Mark & Jeremy

Tonite, I also got to continue on the second and third episodes of the first series of Peep Show -- due to the EVENTUAL arrival of my Peep Show S1 from netflix (the only season properly available in Region 1 - US format) . and OH MY GOSH ... they really are funny. Also alarmingly, I already begin to align myself so strongly with Mark. He is soooo understandable for me. Like a loser version of myself. Haa... He is highly pessimistic, has rigid, yet weird logic, wonders about various stuffs other people do but he cannot understand, and gets excited about activities that cool people do from the outsider perspective who yerns so badly to fit in ... '..I wanna be a nice and cool person but I know I am not gonna be able to do that..' kind of attitude. That's like my darker side turns pittyful. I, gladly, do not have the same remorse and self-pity as Mark. But oh mine, didn't I root badly for the guy. This is going to be interesting coz I really think I have a tendency to fall for the type of Jeremy -- a puppy look with stupidity... a lovable asshole. That so brings out the mommy spirit in me. But man, looking at Mark is like looking at a saddo version of myself. LoL. This surely is going to be a wonderful ride.

On a slightly different topic. More like a side note. I think I am getting a tad more psychotic than usual. I kept watching RW Flash Dance vids for so many times, feeling embarrassed everytime I saw it, yet I couldn't keep my eyes off it. There is something about this straight guy whom I can fancy both as a guy and a girl, without actually having to think of two separate occasions. Weirddddd..... (and drooling....)

PS. I accidentally clicked on some Life on Mars soundtracks on youtube. Gosh... I love that series. Seriously. Life on Mars and Frasier -- two series that I feel deep warmth right in the chest and turn all gooie evertime I think about it. But Life on Mars is also very personal. I really wish I could describe to someone how do I feel about this series, properly. Sadly, I cannot even put that into words myself. How can I really describe love, really? especially love toward something people don't usually feel in general? How can u make someone feel the same thing you do? Really, I think it's rather not possible...
